Shadi Ghadirian was born in 1974 in Tehran. Recognized internationally as one of the first Iranian women to revolutionize contemporary photography in Iran. Her works speak the place of women, war or the contrasts between tradition and modernity. Her photographic series are like little fictions, which highlight very personal and intimate look of a woman about her country.
