Sometimes, visual errors and physical phenomena produce amazing sights. A mirage is an optical, physical and a captivating mystical phenomenon, caused by the refraction and bending of rays of light that makes us see that which does not exist. The artificial landscapes in the “Mirage” series are inspired by the mirage phenomenon. The landscapes seen in the photos of this collection do not exist. By staging juxtaposed materials and different light exposures on a small table in the studio, views of the sea, the sky or the desert that are miles away were made; imaginative views somewhere between far and near.
