There are different types of documents. Some are the result of an accident; some are the proof of a fact. Some become invaluable over time, and some would determine ownership. This document, however, is a relic of 1848, when the first Iranian railway was put into operation. My document is the outcome of a relentless look at 14087 km of glare and endurance. The result of hours of inevitable observation. A document of the earth and the sky, the land and water, life and death. A document from the land of history and civilization, political turning points and culture and in the end, from reality and fantasy. This document is a rather direct and unconditional look, hundreds of photos from behind the train window of the land and the sky that we know as our homeland, Iran.
