In this series, the faces of women disappear behind the household objects that fill their days: a teapot, an iron, a broom, a cooking pot. These tools stand in for the women who spend their lives tending to them. So absorbed is she by the needs and expectations of those around her that she sometimes no longer has a face she can call her own. Yet one only has to lift the veil to find her, hidden behind this domestic façade.
